- Nationals of any European Economic Area;
- Undertakings formed in accordance with the law of a European Economic Area and, having their office, central administration or primary place of business within the European Economic Area;
- Where an aircraft is to be used for any purpose other than public transport or aerial work, persons in favor of whom a residence permit has been issued.
The process of registering an aircraft in Malta is simple and uncomplicated, with only few documentation being required to start process. These include:-
- Official application form;
- Bill of Sale;
- Where the aircraft is leased, the lease agreement has to be attached to the other documentation;
- Where the aircraft was registered under a different jurisdiction, a de-registration certificate is required;
- If there is a mortgage, it also needs to be registered.
